Although I am experienced in providing nutrition advice to all age groups, I focus my nutrition counseling to seniors only. This age group is vulnerable to metabolic disorders. Seniors are at a high risk of developing malnutrition due to the aging process, poor food choices, constipation, impaired microbiome, chronic diseases, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, drug and alcohol addiction, inactivity, and more.

The recipes in my blog are easy to follow and do not require special tools and equipment to prepare. The ingredients are easy to find and are available in most grocery chains, grocery outlets, greengrocers, and ethnic grocery stores that now abound in your neighborhood. Try to limit your dining out and eating fast food. The amount of salt and fat in these foods can harm your health. Cook your food. Know what you are eating. Control your salt and fat. It’s not only economical, but it is also a lifestyle task that promotes calorie output and good nutrition.
There is nothing wrong with eating a burger, it is the frequency that matters. The Okinawans are known to live long lives. Studies associate their long life with the food they eat and exercise. Although Japanese, their lifestyle and food differ from mainland Japan. The occurrence of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease is minimal compared to the mainland. The Okinawans associate their longevity to “Hari hatchi Bo,” or Eat until you are 80 % full.
Learn to compensate if you ate a hearty Prime rib dinner, mashed potato with gravy, vegetables, and dessert, make sure your next meal is less in fat, calories, and quantity. Eat like a prince for breakfast, a king for lunch, and a pauper for dinner.
